Here is the list of recent bug-fixes/enahancements, beyond those mentioned in the CCS64 KB:

BUG-FIXES :
- Improved 1541 emulation. More accurate bit-rate emulation of the read/write head.
- When starting a real C64, the CPU doesn't always start at the time when the VIC graphics chip is at position [0, 0]. The CPU emulation now starts at a random off-set from when the VIC emulation starts, after a system re-set.
- The SID emulation is now completely re-set after a reset. Before only the visible registers were zeroed, but now the internal registers are also re-set.

WIN-32 CHANGES :
- New program icons.
- In the About box, proper information about program registration is displayed.
- Various other trivial fixes concerning program stability.

ENHANCEMENTS :
- Support for the Serpentile cartridge.
- New frame skipping option for graphics, for slower machines.

That'll be "Serpentine"... and no, it still doesn't work in the emulator (works in Vice)...

Does this article have any bearing on your comment? I think so:

The Serpentine cartridge only works correctly under certain circumstances.

Cheers... but it still doesn't work even following either suggestion for the kernal revisions Confused

I happen to check out CCS64v3 BETA on the weekend, it looks good, though it would be be good if the Window mode could be lock into size ratio when you expand the window.

tony.rc - The windowed mode is implemented so that the window can be re-sized however the user wants.

MayhemUK - I will pass your comments on to Hakan. I get the cartridge to come-up with the game, but I cannot seem to control it. Is that what you mean? If not, please tell me why it isn't working.

Where did you get the cart image from Stuart? If I use the one you have (as opposed to my own dumped copy) then we can start going places.

When booting in the emulator, the screen displays a full screen of blue "wavy" lines and crashes. I've seen it do the same thing when plugging my REAL Serpentine cart in one of my C64s. It works fine in my other C64, which does suggest kernal ROM or other internal conflicts.

Btw I believe the game uses port 1 which may explain a problem trying to start it Wink

MayhemUK - In that case, I'd suggest that your cartridge dump is bad. Here is a good one, which I got sent and which I use:

Give me your comments!!! Wink

Sure will try that out... though given the fact my dump works fine in Vice means it can't be THAT bad Wink
