Hmm...

That might have worked with tapes, but how am I able to read a disk in an unmounted diskdrive? Rolling Eyes Wink

Well, in Vice drive 8 is "off " as standard.

No, that wont do. Industrial Breakdown is actually tape (.t64) image, not a disk image. I had the feeling that was the cause, but I just thought "Nahh, of course they named it correctly".

Oh well...

Should I send you my copy of mine? ;-))

INDUSTRIAL_BREAKDOWN_BD.D64 (taken from official zip spread by Taper/Triad on monday)

It's runnable the way I've described, because I did it the way I described and I don't write suggestions so detailedly without reason. I've watched the demo on VICE and I've runned it the way I have described. I'm very distressed that you don't believe me. ;-))))

I have runned it on Vice1.10

In disguise I'll now bow down...

I use 1.11 and it appears broken in that version (filecontent wont load, cpu crashes, etc, so I assumed it to be a tape , but you're right of course), but if you have watched it, I'll trust you and dwngrade Vice...

I doesn't display content of disk on my version of vice either. Just follow the instructions I wrote.

I took a look at Hollowman's demo for a few minutes but then decided I'd rather watch these demos on the real thing. So in the middle of the night I started setting up my c64 (just moved a while ago so everything was still in boxes), started panicking because I couldn't get visual output from it (used the wrong cable, silly me) and then panicked more because I couldn't find the monitor cable for my c64 fileserver. Maybe I can pick one up at work later on ..

Long story short: haven't seen the demos yet, look forward to it, but as always, on the real thing Smile

No need to downgrade. VICE-1.10 behaves the same. And if you LOAD"$",8 in VICE or CCS or probably the real machine, it won't stop. Seems that the track 18 isn't linked correctly. VICE's content viewer depends on a correct link.

A question to the guys who saw this demo on a real machine (I will test myself next weekend). There are several ugly things watching this demo in an emulator (VICE or CCS):

Corrupt black sprites, white patterns in upper and lower border and so on. Bugs in the emulators (I don't believe as CCS and VICE behave the same way) or is this "design"?

Same here.. 3 c64's, 2 1541-II's, and 1 1541.. And 1 c64 and 1 1541-II still work the way they should.. so it's a minimal setup, but I love it.. Wink

I'm going to transfer the stuff tonight, and watch it.. Smile

[edit]Watching isn't the right word.. Enjoying is more like it.. Very Happy Very Happy [/edit]

Maybe I didn't explained myself good enough, so I'll give it a second go...

ARGH...

never mind, the disk works. I completely forgot that I was in NTSC mode for whatever lame reason (I hardly use it.) That is why I got the CPU jams all the time.... Pissed Pissed Pissed

If that's correct, it seems like there also is a bug in CCS instead then, as the content shows up there Laughing ...

So that's why it is so difficult to find 100% functional commies these days... Laughing
