Hello folks!

Been a while since I've been here -- I managed to have three kids in the meantime, who now think the Wii and the DS are the bee's knees, and know nothing of insanely wonderful and hard C64 games such as Io and Spindizzy... Anyhow, over the past ten years or so I've also managed to write six novels, and thought I'd post the details here for anyone who's interested. Briefly, they are:

THE JOURNEYMAN: the sequel to The Apprentice (below).
ANOTHER WORLD: a sci-fi tale of apocalypse and survival
MAX: a dystopian science fiction story set in a future police state
THE APPRENTICE: fantasy horror about a zombie who spends seven days with the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse
GAME BOY: It's about games! And gamers!
THE DINNER PARTY: A psycho horror tale which was more shocking when it first came out in 1998, not so much now.

If pushed to recommend one, I'd go for MAX or THE APPRENTICE first. GAME BOY is only for gaming nuts, THE DINNER PARTY was my first novel with all the flaws that implies, and ANOTHER WORLD and THE JOURNEYMAN are both sequels. You can find out more details (including reviews) on my website, The Burrow, or if you own one of those new-fangled gas-powered eBook devices, you might want to check out the following links:

The Kindle Store
Smashwords
iTunes (or just use the iBooks app)
The Sony Reader thing
The 'It's Not A Kindle, honest' Nook place
Diesel (epub - great for Stanza and others)

And, er, that's it... If any of you do decide to download them, reviews are always welcome! Please help out a starving former ZZAP!64 editor! Etc.

Cheers Smile And nice to see this place is still thriving.

I may just do that - usually on my daily commute I read old scans of Zzap!, as my hard copies are in deep storage, but I'm up to about ish 65 and it's getting boring, fast...it's not a logical follow-up, but I still like the idea!

Hello folks! (again)

I've cut the price of all my ebooks on Smashwords by a dollar, which in English money brings them under the £2 mark for the first time (about £1.90 at current exchange rates). That's less than the price of a cup of coffee (assuming you buy coffee at one of those swanky High-Street coffee places and don't just pour boiling water over a teaspoon of Nescafe)!

I've just made the price change today, which means it's immediate if you buy direct from Smashwords, but it might take a little longer to filter through to the various online bookstores. Details here: http://www.smashwords.com/prof...onHoughton and here: http://theburrow.zzap64.co.uk/novels/ebooks.html

Cheers!
g.

I got some of them months ago and as always happens with any books I have downloaded over the years... : They stay forgotten on the hard disk Sad

I'll have to make massive icons out of them and copy them to the desktop so I remember I have them and read them!!

Hello again

I have a new book out. It's called ANOTHER WORLD.

It's ace! It's apocalyptic! It's DRM-free! (And it's quite cheap). You can buy it for Kindle (http://www.amazon.co.uk/Another-World-ebook/dp/B008EV16CS) or from the Smashwords website (http://www.smashwords.com/books/view/169333). Smashwords has it in epub, mobi, pdf and pdb formats, amongst others. Nook, Kobo, Sony Reader, and iBooks versions are coming soon!

It's science fiction, and rather spiffy. More details (including reviews for my other books) on my website: http://theburrow.zzap64.co.uk/novels/ebooks.html

Thank you for your attention.

And finally... Another World is available for those who randomly chose the Sony Reader as their ebook viewer of choice: http://ebookstore.sony.com/ebo...000743486. No more spam until the next book!

Hello folks

Another year passes! And there's a new book from me, called The Journeyman. It's the sequel to The Apprentice, published by Transworld in 1999, and features a zombie as the main protagonist. It's already had two five-star reviews on Goodreads.

You can download a sample, or buy it cheap in its entire DRM-free loveliness, at these places:

Smashwords
Kindle
Sony Reader
iBooks
Kobo
Nook

Thank you for attention.
G.
