hello
i make a remake of this game of 1987 (named "death sword" in USA)

my remake is the same that the original , in 320x200 and 16 colors
(but despite all my work, there is some minor differences)
i have all programmed, this is not a re-build or emulated version

i'm 37 old and i'm french. this game is one of my first game and i always like it
when i was teenager, i have learn myself the BASIC on an Amstrad CPC.
i have no C64 but i discovered this computer with the emulators on the net. my game is made with screenshots of winVICE

i hope you will like my remake. the code is "open source" , so if someone want to correct my little defaults (the IA is not perfect), this is possible,
the key for me is to do it as it was created in 1987

if you are interessed with my clone, in some time, i would make the 1988 PC and APPLE 2 versions too

i have totaly rewrite the gamef the original. i have done it with snapshots and sounds taken with WinCE 2.2 emulator

Can a person with very little knowledge change the background?

Maybe someone with some knowledge will get on the case seeing as its open?

yes, it's easy to change the background.
search in the directory and you will find the bitmap of every scenery. they are in GIF format and 16 colors. if you change them you must respect the same palette, else the color of the player will not be good.
