Hello buddies!
Is there any "Newcomer(enhanced)" uIEC/SD(SD2IEC at all) compatible version available? _________________ SEARCHING FOR LIGHT

Hi,
I assume uIEC/SD run .d64's ? And you'll find the d64's here: http://noname.c64.org/csdb/release/?id=3431.
Think it was from csdb I downloaded for a go at an emulator. The game wouldn't run well when converted to 1541. . . I am eagerly waiting for the Ultimate version.. _________________ NUMBERS; Blood's clones. There are 5 of them: Number 1, Number 2, Number 3, Number 4 and that son of a bitch Number 5... |

As it needs true drive emulation it will not work with SD2IEC/uIEC, actually I am looking for a version with no fast loader. _________________ SEARCHING FOR LIGHT

I question this too.. What do you base this on? I have no doubt it'll turn up.

On the 25th of December we have started testing the new English/Hungarian builds for Windows/OS X. I'm disclosing this after a week of delay for two reasons: One, I was waiting for test results (pretty good so far!), and two, it took me a week to recover from the crunch time that completing this build took.
The end is in sight, and quite near. Soon, just before the actual release we will publish an updated, informative promo poster in English about the many recent changes and improvements. |
A huge project, in three languages. Sure it'll take some time. _________________

if jiffydos is installed in your c64, no fastloader is needed with UIEC. in this case, i's comparable to vorpal!
UIEC also supports certain fastloaders now. |

Last checked, Protovision sold the game and Cinematic Intuitive Dynamix (CID) made the game? http://www.newcomer.hu/
Real life has an nasty habit of getting in the way of hobby projects, especially large ones that require all sort of detailed work. I understand this very well, our CRPG project has ridden the stormy waves of real life for a few years now.
Unless someone from CID says its dead, I wouldn't give up on Ultimate Newcomer. |

I was in contact with Jakob Voos just the other day and this is a "copy/paste"
" don't worry - Newcomer is not dead at all. But as it is a hobby project it's impossible
to say when it will be ready. During testing a few new bugs have surfaced, that's why
it's taking longer than expected."
Basically nothing new but also a beacon of hope. _________________ Please be gentle, I'm a total newb. |

A decent crack of old Newcomer would be good enough for me as I can't even run it from Ultimate. Both versions from CSDB are crap.
Easy flash or d81's would be lovely _________________ c64midi.com

there is nothing to crack. newcomer is a free game, and the versions on csdb are the original copies. you are doing it wrong. _________________
