Hello.
I am hardcore Atari 8Bit fan. But I have buyed 2 x C64 but withouth PSU (I always wanted play C64 great games and maybe in future to make some chipmusic or pixelart on it too).

1.) PSU?
Is there any new C64 PSU /PC ATX/ or something like that?
I am from Slovakia we have same plug (PLUG E) as in Belgium or France, Poland.

2.) Cheap SD-Cartridge or interface or USB Cartridge?
I want to use SD cards or USB for saving chipmusic or loading games.
Is there any good priced (under 70Euros) interface for C64???

Matt aka Tinctu

PS: I have 2 x C64-II

Yes, but it's easier/cheaper to simply get a C64 PSU. C64 is special because it needs 5V DC and 9V AC which no PC PSU does deliver out of the box.

There are lot's of solutions but the good ones are not cheap. Unlike A8, many games need a full working 1541 disk drive since they upload own code to the drive. Usually that is done for fast loading. So for full compability, any SD based solution has to emulate a full 1541 disk drive.

1541 ultimate or Chameleon do that.

I assume that those solutions are too expensive for you, so you better get a real 1541 disk drive and some cheap disk transfer solution.

Something like a uIEC or equivalent (there is someone making them in Europe) will probably do the trick. You can't play all games, but you can play most games, and you shouldn't have a problem with chipmusic. The device should be under 50 euros.
