Hi guys,

I actually have never played C64 at all, but I have my system with disk drive and a bunch of games on the way as we speak, I can't wait. Cool

I'm big into arcade hardware and doing mods and repairs etc, so I am already anticipating learning some new hardware. Right now I'm watching a lot of ebay videos of playthroughs and reviews of games, I have an unopened Sega pack of arcade hits and a few other games on the way, which I can't wait to open up and play. I would really like to use my C64 for some basic computing as well, I love how people are able to do stuff like run a server (however badly) etc with them. I'm especially inspired since my windows netbook is trash!

I've got a ton of questions since I've never used a C64 yet but I'm just gonna lurk on the forums and try to educate myself first.

Welcome and I am sure you will enjoy your C64. You can even mod it so that should provide plenty for you to do Smile

Imagine that at some time you started your computer and was sent to a programming environment right away. (basic).

Thats what pushed me into programming. bored and with source code in a magazine.

I got my C64 up and running, it's awesome! It has Jiffydos installed to a switch so I can switch from normal mode to Jiffydos, it really helps on some of the load times.

I need to learn some more of the commands though, I am not sure yet how to list all the programs on a disc.

Since you have Jiffy DOS, just press the F1 key and it will list it for you without needing to type anything else.

Okay another newb question that I don't want to start another thread over:

I got the high score on Satan's Hollow, but whenI rebooted the C64 it didn't save my score. Is there a universal way to save scores, or do only some games support score saving? It was on a generic disc with multiple games on it if that makes a difference.
