You should have put your towel over your head so they couldn't see you. Might be slightly risky while driving but we know there are many creatures in the universe who want to do you and rip you off.
I'm at work and towelless. I'm bugblatter beast fodder. _________________

Well planned, Lockett.
Once again I didn't play HHGTG for towel day. I shall post this as a reminder to pull it out sometime tomorrow. Today is Memorial day so that's beer and war movie day for me but tomorrow is free I think.
Wow Thunderer your girl doesnt seem to have aged over the year. My boys grew like weeds over a year. Maybe the aliens gave her perpetual youth. She's still adorable. Me and the wife always wanted a girl. Eh, maybe the boys will grow into something that will support me. _________________

JT, her facial features have changed only subtly, but she has grown quite a lot from last year so there is a big difference come to think of it. _________________

Bumping this thread again to remind everybody that Douglas Adams passed on eight years ago today.
As every year I shall be donning my towel in two weeks time in commemoration of Mr. Adams to bid him farewell and thank him for all the fish.
I also have some tidbits of information. Having wondered why the largest Towel Day site has been offline for some time now, I just found out today that its founder Tobbe Landin, affectionately known as Kojv, has passed away. After the original towelday.org website vanished, Kojv kept the Towel Day tradition alive from 2004 until 2008 on his site http://towelday.kojv.net . His funeral service was held in December 2008, but his ashes shall be buried on Towel Day. How sad
Additionally, a 6th Hitchhiker book is due to be released by the end of the year. It shall be written by Eoin Colfer . No matter how good or bad the book itself may turn out to be, I am quite sure that it will make a lot of people very angry and shall be widely regarded as a bad move.
So in an eventful and exciting 2009, hope everyone has an exciting and eventful Towel Day.
Mods, please sticky. _________________

Since I am the only one that has observed Towel Day, I present you with the evidence.
The little one getting in on the fun.
Jovana donning her towel.
Having fun with towels.
The brothers hitching a ride. But will they ever come?

Excellent. I was off because it was Memorial Day here and there were enough volunteers to work so I didn't have to. But anway, I was watching war shows and swilling beer but was surrounded by towels so felt safe. I stayed indoors though, just to be sure. I don't know of any bugblatter beasts that can pick locks. _________________

Nine years ago today Douglas Adams passed away, so I'd like to remind everyone about towel day two weeks from now (25th of May). Show your mourning by carrying around your towel that day, it is always good to know where your towel is. _________________

god rest Douglas Adams' soul... The books are great. I've only 'Long Dark Tea Time of the Soul' to go before finishing the dirk gently series. I'll towel up... don't worry. I'll even play HGTTG on c64 to mark the occasion _________________

Have you read The Salmon of Doubt, the posthumous collection of short stories, articles and so on? There's more Dirk Gently in there (put together from Douglas' hard drives after his death) _________________

Currently at work donning a towel. Despite foaming at the mouth and turning blue in the face for the past two weeks about Towel Day, everybody looked at me in a weird sort of way and enquired about my towel. Needless to say, my efforts to convert new people to this event have failed flatly on their nose. Two people however said that they had forgotten about it but would have brought a towel.
Anyway for lunch break I am having muscle relaxant and protein supplement, if only I can make it past the yellow bulldozers outside on the street.
Yellow, that reminds me of something... _________________

Again I'll be the only one posting pictures of this day:
Couldn't stop the bypass from being built, but I kind of felt like I was being watched.
At the Horse and Groom for some muscle relaxant.
Two beautiful towel bearers: Jovana and Ilina. _________________

It's not real jt-3d. This happens to me all the time. I have a hard time convincing people that the UFO was actually Photoshopped. _________________
