A Commodore C64 computer and a 1802 monitor in the TV-series Family Guy. Peter Griffin is at the job center and the job adviser uses a Commodore C64 to find a job for Peter.

The promo vid for the Australian TV show 'Talkin about Your Generation' briefly shows a boxed c64. Silly vid.

I think I did find a C64 in Ghostbusters (playing PS3 version) but I'm not sure. Shocked

The shape indicates that it's a C64 but there are blue keys. o_O However, the label and the power light are just in the RIGHT spots.

At least he can use a pc, my old man is ok with one. But my mother is scared to go near one, too many buttons.

Has anyone heard the radio advert in the UK for Seat Wave?

Commodore 64 gets a name check!

Has someguy saying he wants to see the ' Radioheads ' and how he loved their album Ok Computer which was about the Commodore 64 or something!

There are a few of these ads about with people mentioning the wrong bands name - but listen out for the Radiohead one.

Doubtful, read the Wiki on that album and it mentions brands like Atari and Mac being used, no Commodore.

They didn't actually show a C64 machine but in Season 4 of Prison Break the guy who invented the portable wireless downloading device was asked to do something and his response was something like 'not every geek with a Commodore 64 is a hacker!"

Lol nearly spilt my tea when he said it Smile

How silly is that.
It was used during an animated sequence.

Got hooked on MST3K awhile ago. This wonderful tv-series that makes fun of truly terrible movies. One of them, Time Chasers, even features some Commodore hardware. Cool
In this film we follow the adventures of a young geek who turns his aeroplane into a timemachine. If we take a look inside the cockpit we can see that hes got a 1541 floppy disc drive:

And is that a C64 that hes typing on?

I think so. Smile
Anyone else a fan of MST3K on this forum?

This is from Knight Rider Season 2, Episode 5. It's only on-screen fleetingly, but it looks like a VIC-20 to me...

Series 3, episode 6 of "Ashes to Ashes"

A C64 is also in the previous episode, but in a different location in the office. It was placed in front of a microfiche reader which they thought looked like a old CRT monitor, lol.

This show is set in 1983, so seeing a C64 which cost a whopping £399 just lying around doing nothing is a bit silly. Why would the police even need a C64?

In the 80s, I seen a few small stores use a Commodore 64 for invoices. I also seen a few 'training sims' for the commodore 64 as well. Remember that the C=64 was not just for games but did do spreadsheets and word processing, too... It kind of reminds me of MACs in the work place of today. You see some but Windows in the US really has dominated.

In my ongoing search of Commodore sightings I reached the milestone of 200 sightings. And number 200 is a special one. It is an episode of "4 Computer Buff's". You can see Jack Tramiel, he talks about the new range of Atari computers.

Also in this show a system to download computer data from your television screen Shocked . They build a device that could be attached to the screen and a black/white dot on the screen would flash during the episode to deliver the data to your computer.

Next milestone: 256
