I always imagined the Solex in "For your eyes only" being a C64 even though it didn't look anything like one...It was just wishful thinking, until the end of the movie when it got destroyed. I'd not wish that fate even on a CoCo...
Please don't talk about throwing away systems, unless they're dead or Speccy's ROTFLMAO J/K

Cool beans! Videodrome is a movie made by David Cronenberg, who is a legendary horror movie director. He specialises in making really weird movies, Videodrome is one of these. It´s cool that they created the film trailer with a C64, i´d love to see it.

Looks more like it was created with the Commodore Amiga. _________________

As you can see in the video, it was not made with a Commodore 64, the graphics are way beyond its capabilities. It was most likely created with a Quantel Paintbox. _________________
I just got this through a torrent. This is a seriously bad movie.. one that I can only watch 5 minutes at a time at the most, but there are quite a few cameos of the C64 and 1541 drive. I didn't know the C64 was directly compatible with a IBM XT though. _________________

Sorry, should have been more specific.... The guy took a C64 disk out of a 1541 and put it into a XT and started typing. Maybe they had a emulator running on it. _________________

Not a movie this time, but a TV show. It's a new show on Canada's state-operated TV network, the CBC, and it's called Being Erica. The series premiered this past Monday and the Commodore 64 played a brief role. I put an excerpt up on Youtube and here it is:
I remember a scene from 'V' where they were sending a signal to a spaceship. The signal was the c64 tape loading noise. I'm pretty sure they had a breadbox in front of them too although it looked like it was covered in brown paper mache.

I found this post very interesting and started to look for the movies mentioned. Also googled a lot and found many sightings reports.
I made an article on my web page of the things I found until now.

What has he missed?
I was reminded about a great music video: Computer Camp Love by Data Rock.
If anybody knows about more sightings let me know. But if it's a series please, please, please tell me which episode. With some series I had to watch more than 20 episodes to capture 1 second.
More added today:
Get Smart Again!
Homeward Bound
No retreat, No surrender: Blood Brothers
My Secret Identity
Food of the Gods II
Being Erica

Hi all, here an update of my Spot the Commodore page.
I was getting close to the magical number 100. And I was hoping that number 100 would be something special.
And it was.... This could be the biggest TV show ever.... Sesame Street
Other recent finds:
Buck Rogers
Futurama
Waynes World 2
Father Ted
Rolfs cartoon club
Bits and Bytes
Bad influence
WDR computer club
Database
Quantel were a$$holes. They almost took out a court injunction to prevent ACE (Advanced Computer Entertainment) magazine in the UK to prevent them using the word paintbox to refer to graphics packages like Degas or Dpaint etc
I wonder if AndreasM was ever working at Quantel the little n0bhead, sound like his kind of thing to do LOL
Getting even more off track, I am pretty sure the Williams Formula 1 race cars have Atari logos on the two side parts of the cockpit rim, the bit that pulls out and protects the driver in side impacts. Couldn't get to see the word Atari fully but it was definitely the Atari Fuji mountain logo.
