Is the 512K RAM that comes with the MMC Replay considered REU? I've tried to get NovaTerm, LUnix and GEOS to 'detect' it but to no avail.

If anyone has any information on how I can use the 512K RAM with MMC Replay, it would be very much appreciated.

That RAM is an expanded equivalent to Action Replay workspace, you can only access it by jumping through a few hoops in your programming. There is no classic app which recognizes it at expansion RAM.

Oh ok, now it makes sense. So, when I'm using the freeze function -- the retro replay uses the RAM to store a snapshot of the C64 memory? (I'm just guessing here).

I was just worried that the 'RAM' part wasn't working correctly in my MMC Replay cartridge.

But, if the RAM is accessible "by jumping through a few hoops", that is good to know--perhaps people will write applications or modify current ones to use it.

lobogris and myself were asking similar questions with regard to a "game cart" that could have 1MB memory on it. How can the program in memory access the SD?

Use MMC64 registers at $df10-$$df13, documentation here. MMCR is almost fully compatible with MMC64 so you get pretty far with MMC64 docs.

Wow, that's pretty easy by the look of it. I'm surprised a new massive cart game game hasn't been made yet using this technology. Or maybe one's under construction...
