Just got a Retro Replay and MMC64 bundle. My issue is with the MMC64, in getting it to recognise files...

Basically, I have a SanDisk 2Gig card, formatted using the "FAT" option through Windows. Files copy to the card and show ok. One name, for example, is "12345678.SID". Eject the card, place it in the MMC64 and turn on the C64. Go to the filebrowser, and no files are shown. I have also created a directory called "SYSTEM64" which also does not show in the filebrowser? I have tried other files, with different names and still get the same result. Any ideas? I am REALLY keen to get this all happening, so I can get some classic SID's pumping through my stereo!!!

A response to my own post Very Happy

Just tried a 128MB card of unknown brand and detects files fine. Is currently playing the Desert Dream SID's! YEEEAAAHHHHH!

A good sign...would still like to get the 2Gig card working fine though...

It's possible that I'm wrong but I seem to (maybe incorrectly) remember that the maximum supported size is 1 GB. However, I know for a fact that the latest BIOS version supports cards up to 4 GB in size if they are FAT32 formatted (the latest version of the BIOS supports FAT32). However, the plug-ins then also need to be updated for FAT32 and not all plug-ins have been updated yet.

astral, which BIOS version does your MMC64 have? In case you do not have the latest version (V1.10) installed, I recommend to update it.

I'm very happy, and extremely impressed with the MMC64 so far!

It has BIOS version 1.00. I will update it and see how that goes, and let everyone know...thanks for your help...
