This is a solid game, don't get me wrong, but what immediately jumped at my consciousness was the incredible speed of certain things, like player animation and player death. They're so fast that you're practically unable to register them. Enemies just disappearing was also kind of disappointing.
I mention these 'cos these are small details that can immensely increase the sense of professionalism with little effort. For example in Giana you can be sure that the animations are all slow enough to register.
Of course I understand memory being tight can be a problem but why not cut some of the music jingles, for example, if it's that tight
