Helpful hint: In North America, Winter Olympiad was released as Winter Challenge.

(I actually have these games... I'm so in!)

PS... is it March 6th yet? (What is CET?)

CET is Central European time. If you live on the east coast of North America they're about 6 hours ahead of us. So technically it's March 6th for this compo when it's 6pm EST/5pm CST March 5th. (Which actually works out perfect for me when it comes to score updates. Laughing ) Oh.. and thanks for the name tip!

Just so people don't feel TOO intimidated, I think Figure Skating is about the only event I have half a chance of winning...

Oh it really does not take that much skill to do well really!

- Read the manual
- Do all the 6 moves during your programme, including moving from the the Camel spin into the Sit spin.
MOVEMENT POINTS
--------------------------------
Camel Spin .7
Sit Spin .7
Double Axel Jump .6
Triple Axel Jump 1.1
Double Lutz .6
Triple Lutz 1.1
Camel into Sit Spin 1.2
----
Total Score 6.0
- If you're skating forward and
"trigger" a jump when the skater's legs are in open stride, the jump
will be perfect. If the skater's legs are closed, the jump will be
awkward. The opposite is true if you're skating backwards: trigger
the jump when the skater's legs are closed and the jump will be
perfect.
- When you do SPINS, try to make six rotations. If you turn fewer than
six times, your exit will be awkward; more than six turns will make you
dizzy and you'll fall.
- Don't fall!

Now this is hot-dogging it. I've never gotten this score before...

10.

Read it and rejoice with me. I only played for about 1/2 hr straight before I suddenly got how to transition from one move to another... then it all came together and I was able to drop 3 or 4 10s in a row.

Different emulators. Different palettes. And one shot of a real C64 screen.

Actually, in my case, it's a C64DTV being played through an 1802C monitor. But yeah.

Well hotdogging you should get a 10 for performing a forward spin and a back spin. And there's a handy cheat the figure skating where you can get 6.0 for repeatedly turning left and falling over Smile

I've read the instructions years ago and I read em again. I've never been able to turn a 10. A 9.1-9.2 though...
