Tenebrae is my Argento favourite, the film that introduced to me to world of giallo.

I'm currently in the middle of watching a Doctor Who story called 'Shada'. It was not transmitted as it was never properly completed due to industrial action at the BBC when they were making it in 1978. A few years ago it was finally pieced together, getting Tom Baker back in to narrate the parts that were not filmed at the time. It was then released on video.

Quite a good story!

Dammit! I missed Dog Soldiers when it was on Channel 5 last week!!! Any good? Luckily for me, Channel 5 tend to repeat all their films every 2 months or so Smile

Also, I gather the same director produced 'The Descent', famously advertised on what remained of a blown up bus in London. Anyone seen this film yet?

Whoah, momma. When I die I want to be crushed between Famke Janssen's thigh's like that dude in GoldenEye Razz

You should check out Deep Rising.. a very silly, and yet deadly serious, 80's action film pastiche with Janssen.

These days, when an American movie comes out, I take it as a signal to hunt down the source material and see that instead. Dark Water? No thanks, I'll go see the original Japanese version instead. Sin City? I'll read the comic. War of the Worlds? I'll.. err.. listen to JEFF WAYNE'S MUSICAL VERSION! With just a handful of men, we'll start all over aGAAAAAAIIIIIINNNNNNNNNN!!!! All over aGAAAAAAAIIIIINNNNNN!!!!

Ooh! One last thing... 9:00 tonight in the UK, the season 5 finale of CSI directed by Quentin Tarantino!

Totaly agree with you!
I almost cried when I saw the American version of the Grudge. Crying or Very sad
But Sin City was directed by the creator of the comic.
You might be surprised. Wink

@Jeroen: South Park Halloween... A classic Smile

Labyrinth is just fricken great!

S.A.W. is one of the best suspense films I have seen in a long time. Very pleasantly surprised by this one.

Run Lola Run is excellent.

I'd like to extend a big congratulations to Hollywood this year for outdoing themselves again. Never thought they could make more of a mochary of themselves but they proved me wrong again big time. They have forever disgraced Jackie Gleason and the honeymooners, Bewitched and War of the worlds. (I usually like Steven Spielberg films. But I will not be caught seeing this one.)

Yeah....I guess I had to explain it better instead of calling it American movies. It would be better for me to call them Hollywood blockbusters instead.....bah...sorry about that Embarassed

Oh.....and please....no more pancakeface Ben Affleck.
My god what an actor with no charisma, radiation, emission or ermm aura.

The eye - good stuff, very impressive
Hero - boring, I'm sick of this new kind of useless show of martial arts ... where's Jacky Chan?
The incredibles - Cool!
Airplane - he he, a classic!
National treasure - Nice, but I expeced it was better

Powaqqatsi. i was disappointed Sad. its predecessor (if that's the right word) was much better: go see Koyaanisqatsi, everybody! no words, either, so not much to understand (except for the end..)!

ciao!

Yes, the original Japanese version of Dark Water is terrific.
I´m not really interested in the American remake, except for the fact that Jennifer Connelly is in it!
(she´s hot!)

I'm not really what you call a tom hanks fan but here's a film I'd advice to everybody over here to check out: ladykillers.
made by the brothers coen (also known from fargo, the big lebowski, ...) the film isn't really well known towards the masses but hell it is funny!

Balto 2 - Wolf Quest:Well done sequel, but no masterpiece.
Blend character animation, but great background and 2D animation, and a good soundtrack in Eurovision Song Contest 2004 and 2005 style.
Is there other Native American movies worth watching?

Bĝllebob & Smukke (Beautiful) Sally:Based upon the 1980´s kids musical by Gunnar Geertsen about the trouble maker Bĝllebop and his friends in a cosy little town.
I saw it at the sneak preview last evening, and the actors came and gave autographs.
