Forbidden Forest:
One guy's like, "Dude, don't go into the Forest! It's forbidden." Then his buddy is like, "I must." Then his friend is like, "Well, okay then." Then the guy goes into the forest with his bow and fights giant spiders and stuff, but then he gets killed just as its almost morning.

Yes, this could be good stuff for a "mutated monster" movie, btw. watch out for "Eight legged freaks"!!

Other C64-games as background for movies, maybe:

Last Ninja
Rescue on Fractalus
Eidolon
Koronis Rift
Raid over Moscow (shouls be renamed to Raid over Afganistan)
H.E.R.O.

and some more for sure ...

Project Firestart almost looks like a movie, so I guess it would be easy to film it.
