It would be nice to see what's happening in your place.
Let me start with this:
Here in Rotterdam....people from the ambulance get to wear a stabbing free vest
The vest weight is 1,5 kilo
These medical hardworking guys suffer from a lot of agression at night from insane, drunk, doped and just agressive people.
Sad world, sad country and sad town. _________________

And someone just killed a 26 year old guy last friday night who I used to know.
This was in my town.
He was ready to go on vacation with his friends the next day, but some lunatic shot him through the head for 300 EUR.
He was working in a bar after closing time, what a sad world. _________________ I can wake up in the middle of the night and start searching for a three-headed monkey.

My university is now known for its corrupt student union. Last year it managed to seal a deal with a property company to build some sort of building (no details were actually in the contract, it could have been anything the contracters wanted, like a toilet for example), for $44 million over 20 years.
This along with several other things (like the current union members passing rules that made it virtually impossible for anyone else to get elected and holding 3 meetings in a row without telling anyone so that they could expel all their enemies), made the powers that be at the uni realise that the union was getting out of hand, result: the entire union was liquidated.
Recently football players from all codes (except real football - association or soccer as it became known), have been accused of gang raping females and more and more seem to be coming forward every day. This is very worrying as these players are supposed to be role models for school children and regularly get paid (by McDonalds - they have to mention this in their speeches, scary isn't it?), to go around and give talks around Australia. _________________ |

Our government has made a new law that forbids everyone who has a big company to own sone sort of media (TV stations, newspapers etc.).
Which is kinda strange 'cos the government owns the biggest phone company and all hospitals PLUS the National TV station that you have to pay for if you own a TV set, regardless of how you use it.
So I have to pay the government 352 euro's so I can hook my C64 and game's consoles to my TV.
But the thing is, over here the 'congress' cannot make new laws without the president approving of them. If the president doesn't approve then there has to be a national election, and since so many people didn't approve of the law and it was an violation of the constitutional law's regarding freedom of speech he decided to hold a national election.
But then the government tried to set a law that there had to be 75% opposition to the law to invalidate them
When they saw that was against the constitution aswell they decided to withdraw the law to make another one (which is basically the same law except they've changed a few words here and there).

We have a code yellow in Holland.
which means that we have to be carefull for terrorist attacks.
Our "CIA" has overheard some phonecalls between some extreme muslim organisations.
The weird thing is that these guys put 2 policecars infront of some targets (like if that's gonna help ).
On the news they showed how easy it was to sneak in a chemical factory.
(i'm real happy they show this on tv ......don't they know that terrorist have televisions too???)
This paranoid feelings are NOT good for the relationships with the muslim people here in Holland.
I hope we get code green real soon
ps: why does our 'CIA' don't pick this guys up and throw them in jail.
Why just sit and wait untill something really happens ??? _________________

The earthquake shaked northern Italy too. Not a big thing, but it made people dance a bit.
About the "yellow code" thing, I sometimes wonder if those paranoid alerts are casted to purposely frighten people... just a thought _________________ |

I have sometimes said someone else would be better dead. Oh yeah, send me to some military base and torture me until I confess on anything. That gives every dictator in the world a great excuse for imprisoning anyone they want on behalf of "war on terrorism" as "other countries do it too".
If they had some real evidence then those guys would be in jail.
Edit: ObNews
A guy in town I live in went to the laundry, put the cloths in the washing machine, opened the water tap and swithced on wrong washing machine. With no water to cool it down the washing machine caught fire, fortunately the building didn't burn up. How can someone switch on wrong washing machine when the switch is attached to it? |

Weird lights seen in Finland!:
Red spherical lights were seen over sea in front of city Vaasa, in western Finland. People think lights were meteors, but who knows?! They haven't found any pieces of meteors.
A man blew a bomb in a car under his wife's seat:
A couple were sitting in a car, man driving and his ex-wife next to him, on passenger's seat. The man blew the bomb.
The woman got out of car after the blast and called for help. She got some injuries in her legs, but was able to walk.
Man left, but police catched him soon after the incident. _________________ |

I am just recovering from a minor earthquake that hit Lima two days ago. It was only a 4.9, but since I am from Holland, it is a weird experience.
But everyone is used to it here, and nothing was damaged.
(btw Jeroen, you predictions were right, the smaller quakes eventually did lead to a earthquake) _________________ "Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I'm not sure about the former."

Well Jeroen is right. They (Dutch law) even let terrorists walk, because they got the evidence from the secret service. Now they walked away and fled into who knows where and later they are conficted as terrorists and cannot be found.
Now we get threats from extremist muslims who want to kill innocent people and the government does nothing. They just gonna wait until people get killed. Now I am political neutral, but this beats everything logical!
Am I lucky I live in a small place! With few targets! _________________ Play, Play, Plaaaaaay!

What about this one that I've lifted straight from a news headline on Yahoo.co.uk. OUCH!
"Tuesday July 13, 06:05 PM
Man jailed after shooting his testicles
LONDON (Reuters) - A British man who accidentally shot himself in the testicles after drinking 15 pints of beer has been jailed for five years for possessing an illegal firearm, a court spokesman says.
David Walker, 28, was arguing with a friend at a pub in South Yorkshire when he went home to get his sawn-off shotgun, which he jammed into his trousers.
But as he walked back to the pub, the gun went off, blasting pellets into his testicles. Doctors later removed what remained of his testicles during emergency surgery.
Walker admitted possessing a prohibited weapon at a hearing in June at the court in Sheffield. " _________________ "You don't need no crystal ball, don't fall for a magic wand, we humans got it all, we perform the miracles" |

Sad indeed. I lost a friend few days ago. He died from cancer after being ill for little over year. And whats most bizzare, he died becouse of doctors negligence. He had that 5 years ago, and that is the only cancer that has that high probability of curing(more that 90%), and he got only 3 series of chemotherapy, when in the lightest cases it requires 4-5. And about a year ago it all came back and never healed again
And at the friday he got really sick, they took him to the hospital about 90 kilometers away, and doctor wouldnt came down to see him for 3 hours, and when he did he started yelling at crying mother...
And the last terrible thing, after they left him, he died few hours later, nobody called the family to tell them, they phoned next morning, from the hospital got the massage that the condition is unchanged, and went for a visit, and then got the news totaly unprepared.....
This all really pissed me off, is there a more of a crime than a negligent doctor...
BTW, sorry for the sad story, but I am still under inffluence of those feelings.

Great story in the local paper a while back about an unknown lone cyclist, who took it upon himself to start fixing the public toilets in Taunton. After a few sightings the council started getting complaints about the guy from the angry middle-classes complaining that 'I don't pay my taxes so that some unpaid bloke can fix the public toilets!' Police are still hunting the guy _________________ Hey, you. Dumbass. Yeah, you in the tank. Cosy in there? |

A 16 year old kid from Iraq who lives in Holland threw some fuel over his girlfriend and set her on fire.
Before all this he took a sharp object and carved his name in her chest.
After all this....he put out the fire....just to light her again.
The girl is still alive with 2 and 3 degree burns.
He and his gansta rap band the L.O.R.D.S. from Leeuwarden made this song about it rapping: sorry honney...I never ment to hurt you...this hurts me more than it hurts you....I don't wanna lose you etc etc.
My opinion: I hope the judge will punish him like an adult and give this guy a one way ticket back to Iraq where he can set fire to people day in day out...perhaps burn a flag here and there....sounds like paradise for this guy (who came here to get away from all the violence in that shit country of him) _________________
